Fanuc A06B-6102-H122 Spindle Amplifier Module. Known as GE Fanuc ALPHA SPM-22 this module is addressed under several terms notably SPM meaning spindle power module. However on its own label its called spindle amplifier module. Belonging to the 200VAC class of ALPHA series; most cases powered by a similar rated PSM or power module.
Rated at 25.2kW this drive is a ALPHA Type 4 spindle amplifier with the additional JY5 port to run aside Jy4 and JY2 for addtional spindle position feedback. Controlled by many different systems in the main Model A series 15i, 16i, 18i and 21i controls. Found on CNC machine tools such as lathes, machining centre’s, punch press and grinders.
Not as popular as the Type 1 ALPHA spindle amplifier module, the Type 4 was fitted on higher end CNC machine tools. A06B-6102-H122#H520 is matched with AC spindle motors including model 18 or 22 and on occasion the larger framed aP30 spindle motor. Occasinally these drives were fitted with considerably smaller motor frames due to higher maximum speeds at 10000 RPM and beyond.
The family of Fanuc ALPHA spindle amplifier module with #H520 software succeded earlier spindle amp’s carrying same model designation. They are a completely new version of drive designed to be backwards compatible. At DNC we only accept identical parts as exchange.
